Tournament grows again for 2010

Over 180 teams have applied so far.   All age groups are now full and have a reserve list open -  with 1 week to go. High calibre - 20 team tournaments at most age levels - this will not be easy to win!

Welcome back to St Oliver Plunkett F C (Northern Ireland) this year with three teams. Welcome to Penrhosgarnedd FC from Bangor, North Wales and Castleknock Celtic FC from Dublin.

The online application form is available now. We would anticipate about 190 teams in 2010 and our Tournament Partners are working with overseas teams to increase that element as well. To help with this we have now added a translation facility to convert the site into any language.

The inclusion of Soccer 7’s will see about 190 Teams participating in The Glasgow City Cup

The 2009 Tournament was our largest yet and the Organising Committee would like to record out thanks to all the Teams who participated, the Referees, Volunteers and the Staff from Culture and Sport at both Glasgow Green and Toryglen as well as Glasgow City Council who all helped make the event such a success.
