Glasgow City Cup
New Trophy gets Top Security
PC Plum from Balamory

PC Plum from the Cbeebies BAFTA award winning childrens programme BALAMORY officially opened the Soccer Sevens Festival on Saturday 31st July at Toryglen Regional Football Centre, Prospecthill Road, Glasgow accompanied by Councilor George Redmond, member of board of Glasgowlife. The photo shows the official hand over of the new Glasgow City Cup that the 11 a side teams will compete for. Until recently the trophy had been safely locked away in Balamory Jail. The trophy will be held on display by Glasgowlife and after presentations and photos the winning teams receive a smaller replica trophy.

PC Plum also accepted donations on behalf of the Tournament Charities Cash for Kids and CHAS. There were collection buckets at all sites for members of the public to make donations

There was also face painting and other fun events taking place - again donations from all events will go to charity.
